Feb - Thyroid Surgery

SATURDAY 18 FEBRUARY 2017

ARVRC called us about 10 days later as the biopsy report had just been received by ARVRC.  We quickly took Chester for a consult.

Our fears were confirmed - thyroid carcinoma.  A 3rd form of cancer.  Our world came to a grinding halt.  With this, we were glad that we had a choice of therapy from Dr Ly - NK Cell.  Every day with Chester would be a bonus.

TUESDAY 7 FEBRUARY 2017

Chester had his 2nd surgery performed by Dr Jean-Paul Ly.   Chester was in safe hands, yet we were very stressed up.

We were told that it would be a simple, small surgery to remove a small sample for biopsy on the lump on Chester's throat.  So why were we stressed up?

Chester was 11 years old, and this was his 2nd surgery in less than 1 month.

WEDNESDAY 1 FEBRUARY 2017

We took Chester to ARVRC to have the sutures and bandages removed.   A quick look for record purposes.
